School is about to start, maybe you can’t wait, maybe you’re a little worried. What will everyone do to welcome the new semester? We interviewed some children.
1. Make up the homework! Make-up homework is the most traditional way to welcome the beginning of school.
2.”Bao” cures all diseases-throw away the old schoolbag and buy a new schoolbag you like.
3.Buy and buy with integrity! Paper bags, stationery boxes, memo pads, notebooks… Mom didn’t even nag.
4.If I can’t clean up my bedroom before school starts, my father will take away the phone and Pad.
5.Turn in the Pad and mobile phone. Bye bye! My dearest friend, see you during winter vacation.
6.Cry a lot.
7.Fight with brother. It’s strange that every time before school starts, I have a fight with my brother.
8.I was scolded by my parents.
9.Before school starts, my grandparents will give me a red envelope-a good sign for the new semester.
10.Asked by family members, relatives and community security: Have you finished your summer homework? I answered countless times: Yes, it’s all done.
11.Go to the hot spring bath near home with father, mother and sister-to refresh your mind.
12.The day before I return to school, I will go to the train station to take my cousin home. This is the sign of the end of the summer vacation every year.
13.My mother said she wanted to take care of her, so she only allowed me to stay in XinHua Bookstore during the day.
14.Use up the remaining number of swimming cards this week.
15.Practice waking up at 6:30 in the morning, and it’s painful to think about it.
16.Before school starts, I will gather with my friends in Disneyland, have a big fun, it’s over!
17.Buy small gifts for teachers, hoping they will show mercy to me in the new semester.
18.Sell waste products, clean up old books, notebooks, and test papers, and set aside a place for new books, notebooks, and test papers.
19.My mother asked me to listen to an online class with her. The name is “What parents need to do before school starts.”
20.Listen to my dad’s indoctrination, and he will give me some hopes before school starts. Although, always let him down.
And then, what do the teachers need to do to make the students feel welcome?
There are several tips:
1.Think about when you were in school; did you ever have a time when you started to sit somewhere only to be told the seat was being saved for a friend? To an adult, it’s no big deal, but to students, it can be an embarrassing moment. Creating a seating chart will also help you know your student’s names quicker.
2.Don’t let remembering your student’s names happen naturally over time. Have students prop up their names on their desk using a note card. As you call on them, remember to use their first name and make an effort to memorize it as quickly as possible.
3.The teacher who assigns homework on the first day of school is nobody’s best friend! But getting students working on projects as soon as possible will get them comfortable and into the swing of things much quicker; start with something easy. For younger students, it might be a puzzle or coloring name tags; for older students, it might be something like a short essay on what power they would have if they could have any super-hero power.
4.Understand that anxiety is really high, and fears are sometimes higher. Some students are coming back to school after the summer, and others are starting new schools entirely. Accommodate their needs to make the transition as smooth as possible.
5.If your school has installed digital displays on the campus, the templates below can be used with your digital signage to make sure students see a warm and welcoming message as they roam the campus.
